Developing next-gen apps and company best practices as part of a new logistics company within American Eagle Outfitters.

  • Built the company React Design System in Typescript. From Figma to Storybook, consumed by other teams via our monorepo and GCP (Google Cloud) Artifact Registry, enabling internal and external teams to build quality UI twice as fast.
  • Wrote and socialized the FE company roadmap, publishing best practices around authoring, testing, accessibility, performance, OpenAPI, pipelines and knowledge sharing.
  • Improved efficiency by reducing build times by 80% while upgrading from JavaScript to TypeScript.
  • Developed User Management service enabling the company to scale up customer onboarding 10x faster.

Senior Software Engineer

Primary FE dev responsible for establishing and scaling greenfield apps and team at fintech startup.

  • Developed and delivered client-facing applications in Svelte, React, Redux and Storybook, guiding architectural and tooling choices. From concept to ~$2M in revenue.
  • Deployed to AWS (Amazon web services) with Bitbucket pipelines. OpenAPI-based packages for APIs. Build with Vite, along with Jest and Cypress for testing.
  • Grew FE team from 3 to 7; interviewing, onboarding, and mentoring 2 interns. Coached 2 junior devs leading to their promotion.
  • Led daily standups for 10+ engineers, working closely with product and design.
  • Engineered and documented the company Component Library from scratch.
  • I upgraded the FE deployment to Vercel, improving deployment times, QA and reliability.
